About Our Club

The District 5080 Passport Club was chartered on 3 May 2019. The Club was initially organized in Sandpoint, Idaho. Members of the Club usually live in Washington, Idaho, or British Columbia. However, several members are sojourners and spend time in locations throughout the world.

A Passionate Passport Club, Supporting and Inspiring You in Your Passionate Service

The Rotary District 5080 Passport Peacebuilder Club is sponsored by District 5080 and designed to be a low-cost, flexible club for individuals who seek support and inspiration in serving their local and global communities through their passions.  Members join like-minded leaders while creating friendships and business connections.  Members are encouraged to attend meetings, social activities, and volunteer opportunities with other Rotary clubs in District 5080 and elsewhere.  Together, members empower each other to serve their passions in joyful and fun ways.

On 25 October 2022, the Club was re-chartered as the District 5080 Passport Peacebuilder Club due to the shared focus of its members on spreading the ideas and actions of Peacebuilding in our communities, across the District, and throughout the World.

Structure

Rotary International requires all Rotary clubs to hold a minimum of 2 meetings per month.  Unlike traditional brick & mortar Rotary Clubs that meet weekly, the Passport Club offers flexible Internet opportunities plus the latest social media.

  • Club Meetings: Two interactive internet meetings are scheduled per month with one meeting designated as the Business/Board Meeting where every member holds a voting position on the Board.
  • District Connection: Club Members will be encouraged to attend two annual Rotary District gatherings per year, The District Leadership Training Assembly and the District Conference, where members can gather to share a meal, fellowship, inspiration and passion.
  • Club Service:  Serving our local and global communities is an important part of Rotary's Vision Statement. Every member of the District 5080 Passport Peacebuilder Club will commit to 40 hours of self-defined volunteer service per year.  Members are encouraged to follow their inspiration and join with other Rotarians and non-profit groups to serve with passion.
