Peace...it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things an still be calm in your heart.

Optimism is the fail that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and must be taken one step at a time.

Sometimes people ignore their small success and wins, ad just think about accomplishing big things and goals. Always remember that those big goals cannot be achieved straightaway. It takes time, effort, and multiple steps to reach. Moreover, sometimes on failing many individuals start regretting and feel disappointed. To come out of this problem, you must target small goals and milestones. You should celebrate and enjoy these small successes. This will motivate you and help to work on bigger goals and milestone with more zeal and enthusiasm.

Why you should, and why I donate to the Rotary Foundation.

A lot of charities ask for money, so one must pick and chose which ones to donate to. For me to donate to charity I look at 3 things.

  1. Is it something I believe in? Is it a cause that I feel strong about?
  2. Does it give a tax receipt? If I am going to give money to a charity I want to at least get a tax receipt for it. Charities that give tax receipt usually have oversight from the government to ensure they are reputable.
  3. What % of funds I donate go to the actual cause. Some charities, only a small percentage goes to the cause, the rest goes to administration.

On Charity Navigator website, which rates a number of charities on Accountability & Finance, Leadership & Adaptability & Culture and Commitment, the Rotary Foundation scored 100% with a 4 star rating.

I found some charities that are rated at 67%, 2 starts and others even lower.

I hope our club can be on that 100% of of the member donate at least $100 to the Foundation. I am already there, join me.

"It's not about giving bread to orphans.

It's about building a bakery that can fit an orphanage and sell bread to the city."
